Fabric Thermal Insulation Tester
Application & Standards
The BS 4745 thermal insulation tester is capable of testing the thermal insulation performance of fabrics with a thickness ranging from 0.5 mm to 25 mm. It complies with the standards BS 4745 and ISO 5085.
The fabric thermal insulation tester requires the environment to meet the temperature and humidity conditions for general textile testing. Changes in room temperature during the test will affect the test results, so it is extremely important to keep the temperature stable during the test. If the room temperature fluctuates periodically due to thermostat operation, at least one complete cycle should be observed when testing the fabric's tog value to identify the fluctuations caused by such changes.
