Q-SUN Xenon Arc Weathering Tester & QUV Accelerated Weathering Tester Equipment Calibration and Traceability Services

Specialized testing equipment should be regularly calibrated and traced by institutions and suppliers that provide professional calibration services, so that the equipment can operate more healthily and accurately, and provide you with accurate test data. The Q-Lab calibration laboratory has passed the ISO 17025 certification of the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA - Swedish certificate number 2382-01, Chinese certificate number 2383-02 and British certificate number 2383-03). The calibration can be traced back to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the United States.

Thermometer Calibration

QUV Thermometer Calibration

The QUV blackboard temperature sensor needs to be regularly calibrated by the user to ensure accurate and consistent results. The calibration of the QUV blackboard temperature sensor is simple and can be calibrated with any standard reference thermometer.

Under normal circumstances, the temperature sensor does not need to be replaced. If replacement is required, replacement parts can be ordered according to the following part numbers:

V-2156-X QUV Blackboard Temperature Sensor (Replace as needed)

Q-SUN Thermometer Calibration

The Q-SUN Xe-1 has an optional indoor air temperature sensor (including for the Xe-1 model with a chiller). Calibrating the Xe-1 indoor air temperature sensor is simple and can be calibrated with any standard reference thermometer. For the Q-SUN B02 and Xe-3 models, due to the low cost, combining the relative humidity/indoor air temperature sensor is a well-considered design improvement. It should be replaced once a year without the need for recalibration. The commonly used Q-SUN thermometer part numbers are as follows:

X-10235-X — Q-SUN Xe-1/Xe-3 Black Panel Temperature Sensor (Replace as needed)
X-7778-X — Q-SUN Xe-1/Xe-3 Insulated Blackboard Temperature Sensor (Replace as needed)
XR-11463-X — Q-SUN Xe-2 Blackboard Temperature Sensor (Replace as needed)
XR-11464-X — Q-SUN Xe-2 Insulated Blackboard Temperature Sensor (Replace as needed)
X-10415-K — Q-SUN Relative Humidity/Indoor Air Sensor (Replace annually)
UC1 — Universal Calibrator Handheld Display
UC202/BP — Universal Calibrator System for Q-SUN Blackboard Temperature Sensor
UC202/IBP — Universal Calibrator System for Q-SUN Black Standard Temperature Sensor
UC202/RECAL — Recalibration of the UC202 Temperature Calibrator (It is recommended to replace it annually, and an annual recalibration service is also provided)

Irradiance Meter Calibration

QUV Irradiance Meter Calibration

To ensure accurate and consistent results, the QUV SOLAR EYE irradiance sensor needs to be regularly calibrated by the user, except for the QUV / basic model. It is very simple to calibrate the irradiance sensor using the AUTOCAL system and the Universal Calibrator UC10 / uv, or to calibrate the QUV tester using the traditional CR10 irradiance calibrator, which only takes a few minutes. The QUV irradiance meter is used to calibrate the QUV tester with UV-A or UV-B lamps. However, for the QUV / cw (cool white), the UC10 / cw intelligent sensor or the CR10 / cw irradiance calibrator must be used.

The UC10 and CR10 irradiance meters need to be calibrated once a year. The UC10 sensor is disposable and very cost-effective, and a newly calibrated UC10 should be replaced every year. The CR10 irradiance meter needs to be returned to Q-Lab once a year for recalibration, and this service has a very low fee. Users who want to recalibrate and replace can also return the UC10 unit for calibration.

The common QUV irradiance meter part numbers are as follows:

• UC1 — Universal Calibrator Handheld Display
• UC10/uv — QUV Irradiance Calibrator (for UVA and UVB lamps)
• UC10/cw — QUV Irradiance Calibrator (for cool white lamps)
• UC10/RECAL — Recalibration of the UC10 Irradiance Calibrator (It is recommended to replace it annually, and an annual recalibration service is also provided)
• CR10/RECAL — Recalibration of the CR10 (It is recommended to do it once a year)

Q-SUN Irradiance Meter Calibration

To ensure accurate and consistent results, all Q-SUN SOLAR-EYE irradiance sensors need to be regularly calibrated by the user. It is very simple to calibrate the Q-SUN Xenon Arc Weathering Tester using the UC20 irradiance calibrator of the Universal Calibration System or the traditional CR20 irradiance calibrator, which only takes a few minutes. Both the UC20 and CR20 devices are equipped with 340nm, 420nm or 300 irradiance calibrators - 400nm TUV (total UV) sensors, and must match the type of sensor actually used in the Q-SUN Xenon Arc Weathering Tester. The CR20 irradiance calibrator must also match the filter used in the Q-SUN.

The UC20 and CR20 irradiance meters need to be calibrated once a year. The UC20 sensor is disposable and very cost-effective, and a newly calibrated UC20 should be replaced every year. The CR20 irradiance meter needs to be returned to Q-Lab once a year for recalibration, and this service has a very low fee. Users who want to recalibrate and replace can also return the UC20 unit for calibration.

The common Q-SUN irradiance meter part numbers are as follows:

UC1 — Universal Calibration System Handheld Display
UC20/340 — Q-SUN 340 nm Irradiance Calibrator
UC20/420 — Q-SUN 420 nm Irradiance Calibrator
UC20/TUV — Q-SUN TUV (Total UV) Irradiance Calibrator
UC20/LUX — Q-SUN Xe-1 and Xe-3 LUX Irradiance Calibrator
UC20/RECAL — Recalibration of the UC20 (It is recommended to replace it annually, and an annual recalibration service is also provided)
